patience is a virtue
i want to lose fat. did it take just a day to accumulate the fat? nope. so it won’t take just a day or weeks to lose fat.
it will probably take months with consistent diet habits, training will eventually get me there.
…this is what i have to keep telling myself.
in love with brian puspos… and he’s performing here in toronto today!
but i was too caught up with school to order a ticket.):
sob.

Deadlift PR! 195lbs!<3
crazy, it was this 14 year old boy who pushed me to do more haha, and before you know it I was at 195. My goal was only 180.
he says I can probably do more, I wasn’t stuck/struggling pulling the weight up like you would if it were my one rep.
:D can’t wait to hit the gym again, i really want to reach 225lbs.
i hate the bench press
hate it hate it hate it.
but i decided to tackle it again on thursday. (last time was long long ago.)
it makes me so humble; i’m so weak! haha…
i could only do one 25lbs plate on each side so 95lbs…then guys around me are just pumping oh a mere 135lbs+? a love/hate relationship with the bench press.
shoulders are more defined, makes me happy…but not completely. i still can’t do a pull up, AHAH. definitely my goal for the year. it’s a back exercise but i feel like my upper body should just get stronger overall and hopefully with those gains, i can do JUST one (is that too much to ask for?).
one step at a time.:(
happy day!
Holy it just suddenly started to thunder and pour here.
So much for fireworks tonight.:(
Anyways, I’m too happy to be sad over the weather! Had such a good workout today for my glutes.
1. Deadlift
- 140lbs - 5
- 150lbs - 3
- 155lbs - 1
- 150lbs - 5
- 155lbs - 3
- 160lbs - 1
- 165lbs - 1
2. Dead on weighted plate - 1 x 10 - 135lbs
Compound set:
3. Back extensions - 25lbs - 4 x 15 (w/ 4 second hold…leaves me sweating buckets)
4. Kettlebell alternating swing - 4 x 30 - 12kg (glutes were dying from back extensions…so this was kind of a “recovery” exercise)
Then…
5. Kettlebell snatches - 12kg - each side 2 x 10
6. Hip Thrusts - 5 x 10 - 105lbs (very happy with myself on this)
I think I could’ve done 170lbs on the dead but didn’t want to risk my forearm…
Snatches are extremely fun to do with the kettlebell.<3 Next time I’m going to attempt with a 35lbs one…haha I hope I don’t smash myself.
Hip thrusts, I’m extremely happy being able to have a 45lbs plate on each side.:) the 10 reps for each set was fine…but I know I can probably do heavier. I wanted to get a Hampton Extra Thick Bar Pad but they’re sold out on amazon.com.:( BOO. So because I don’t have one, I didn’t want to add extra weight…or else I’d be leaving huge bruises on my hipbones (happened before). I use towels for now, but towels can only do so much, haha.

Taken in February…but I wasn’t conventional deadlifting then.
Holy it’s so humid.
